Plenty of years ago I met a Rabbi from time to time. We talked about this and that. Nothing special, small talks. Because I appreciate some good humor, read ahead. The topic went to woman, marriages, etc. He opined: "If you'll once meet a woman..." |
"Yes." I interrupted his words, "I know, my father told me. If I'll meet a woman which is pleasing me I shall do have a view of her mother at first, because she will become as her mother already is." "No", he replied with a small smile, "this too", but if I'll meet a woman which is pleasing me, I should have a very first look at her father and if he is henpecked by her mother, "then take to your heels and run for your life. Run as fast as you can." |
